Advanced Brightening & Dark Spot Repair Serum

Add 3 to 4 drops onto palm of one hand, press hands together and then press onto face and neck.  For optimal results use at night and/or day. For daytime, please follow with sunscreen (SPF50 recommended)

If you're new to concentrated vitamin C or tranexamic acid, we recommend that you start with a night time application first and then gradually use during day time as your skin gets used to the concentrated acids

It is important to cleanse and tone before applying Vitamin C, apply serums and creams after the application of Vitamin C.  Be sure to apply skin care products with clean hands.

It can be safely used with other active ingredients.

The solution is sensitive to UV light, so please store away from direct sunlight and store at room temperature.

If you're new to using concentrated correctives, we recommend starting with a nighttime application and gradually using it during the day as your skin gets used to the serum.

It is important to cleanse and tone before applying Azalume 10. Please apply a healing serum and cream to maintain your skin's homeostasis.

Key Ingredients:

Pure Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) @25%

This high concentration of Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that brightens the skin by inhibiting melanin production, the pigment responsible for dark spots. Vitamin C also neutralizes free radicals, preventing further hyperpigmentation caused by environmental stressors like UV exposure.

Glycinted Azelaic Acid @10%

Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring acid found in grains like barley and rye, and produced by the healthy bacteria that live on your skin.  Although originating from grains, it is a chemical component and thus does not contain gluten.

Glycinated azelaic acid is the latest evolution and a skincare game-changer.  Glycination improves the delivery of azelaic acid, helping it penetrate more effectively while reducing the dryness or sting often associated with traditional formulas.

Glycinated azelaic acid reduces breakouts by limiting bacterial proliferation.  It helps normalize the shedding of skin cells, preventing buildup inside pores.  The glycinated form enhances this exfoliating effect without making skin feel stripped—ideal for people who get regular congestion or whiteheads.

Glycinated azelaic acid slows melanin production, thus helping to reduce dark spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and melasma.

Lastly, it is the single most effective compound for treating rosacea.  It helps inhibit excess vascular activity and reduces reactive redness over time.  Rosacea often involves an imbalance of skin microbes (including overgrowth of Demodex mites in some cases).  Glycinated azelaic acid offers antimicrobial action that helps restore a healthier skin environment, without harshness or disruption.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) @2%

Niacinamide is an anti-inflammatory that reduces redness and calms the skin, which has proven effective for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It also minimizes the transfer of pigment within skin cells, promoting a more even skin tone and helping with dark spots.

Tranexamic Acid @1%

Tranexamic acid is well-known for reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, particularly from sun damage or melasma. It is derived from the amino acid lysine and it works by inhibiting the transfer of pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) to the upper layers of the skin, which gradually lightens dark spots.  Dermologists are now prescribing tranexamic acid over hydroquinone for it's efficacy and safety.

Alpha Arbutin @1%

Glutathione is another powerful antioxidant that supports skin brightening by suppressing the activation of melanin production. Additionally, it has skin-detoxifying properties, which helps improve overall skin tone and resilience.
