Snail Mucin (snail slime)
Snail Mucin is the fancy name for the “slime” produced by the garden snail (Helix Aspersa Muller). It's what the snail uses to protect its soft body from damage, sun, and germs. In skincare, it's a jack-of-all-trades regenerative ingredient that moisturizes, gently exfoliates, and fixes damage all at once. In Korea is it called “nature’s greatest healer” and is still the most popular skincare ingredient.
Once considered an “odd” ingredient, it is now the global standard for barrier recovery and post-procedure healing. It drives accelerated wound healing, moisture retention and extracellular matrix support by inhibiting enzymes that break down collagen.
Key Compounds (found naturally in snail mucin)
allantoin, glycolic acid, glycosaminoglycans (GAG, ex. Hyaluronic acid), copper peptides, proteolytic enzymes, antimicrobial peptides (natural defense against acne causing bacteria)
Key Functions
brightening, skin healing, energizing, hydrating

10% Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that your body doesn't produce on its own, so your skin has to get it from outside sources. In the skincare world, it is famous for it’s overall versatility and stability. It doesn’t care about light or air, and it plays nicely with almost every other ingredient in your cabinet. Unlike retinoids or vitamin C, it is not a specialist in any one job but an all-around multitasker. It is a form of Vitamin B3 that every skin type, skin stage, or skin concern can benefit from.
You can find Niacinamide in low doses (2–5%) in many moisturizers, but moving up to 10% unlocks its full potential:
Pore Refiner: It helps "tighten" the look of pores. While you can't physically shrink your pores, Niacinamide keeps them clear of oil and debris, which prevents them from stretching out and looking larger.
Oil Regulator: If you have an oily T-zone, 10% Niacinamide acts like a thermostat, telling your sebaceous glands to slow down production without drying your skin out.
Barrier Builder: It stimulates the production of ceramides, the natural "glue" that holds your skin cells together. This makes your skin much more resilient against wind, cold, and pollution.
3 Major Benefits
A. It Brightens and Evens Tone
It doesn't kill pigment-producing cells; instead, it acts like a "traffic cop." It prevents the pigment (melanin) from traveling from the deep layers of your skin to the surface cells. This helps fade dark spots and yellowing (sallowness).
B. It Calms Redness and Irritation
It is a powerful anti-inflammatory. If you have "angry" skin or red blotches from old breakouts, Niacinamide helps soothe the heat and bring your skin back to its natural color.
C. It Smooths Fine Lines
By boosting the skin's energy (ATP), it helps cells repair themselves faster and supports the production of new collagen, which softens the look of tiny "dehydration" lines.

10% Glycinated Azelaic Acid
GAA is a "dicarboxylic acid." While it has "acid" in the name, it doesn’t work quite like a peeling acid (like Glycolic). Instead, it acts more like a smart regulator. It tells your skin cells how to behave properly, making it a favorite for dermatologists treating sensitive conditions like rosacea and hyperpigmentation. Glycinated Azelaic acid combines pure Azelaic Acid with the amino acid Glycine.
While regular Azelaic Acid can be drying, Glycine helps your skin hold onto moisture. Azelaic Acid is naturally found on your skin and in grains like barley and wheat. At 10%, this ingredient sits in the "sweet spot" for daily use. It’s powerful enough to change your skin’s appearance, yet gentle enough that you won't experience the stinging or itching often associated with prescription-strength versions.
Glycinated Azelaic Acid is a "multitasker" that targets four major skin concerns at once:
A. It Calms "Angry" Redness
Azelaic acid is the gold standard for Rosacea. It works by shutting down the "inflammasomes" (the tiny alarms in your skin that cause flushing and redness). If your skin always looks a little pink or irritated, this is your best friend.
B. Fades & Prevents Hyperpigmentation
It is a "Tyrosinase Inhibitor," which is a fancy way of saying it stops your skin from overproducing pigment. It fades Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (those red or purple marks left behind after a zit) and it brightens the overall complexion by helping old, dull cells shed more evenly
C. It Deep-Cleans Pores
It is "comedolytic," meaning it prevents the buildup of dead skin cells that plug up your pores. This helps stop blackheads and whiteheads before they even start.
D. It Kills Acne Bacteria
It has a unique "bactericidal" effect. It gets inside the pores and kills P. acnes (the bacteria that causes breakouts) without the dryness or bleaching effects of Benzoyl Peroxide.
Who is this for?
This high-strength version is perfect for anyone with oily to combination skin prone to breakouts, anyone looking to treat hyperpigmentation and anyone looking for that glassy skin glow.

Ectoin
Ectoin is a powerful, natural stress-protection molecule. It is not a traditional active that "reacts" with the skin; instead, it works through physical stabilization. It surrounds skin cells and proteins with a dense "Ectoin Hydro Complex," creating a shell of water molecules that prevents damage before it happens. In other words, it acts as a molecular shield.
Today, Ectoin has surpassed Niacinamide as the must-have multifunctional active. It is an extremolyte, a self-defense molecule discovered in bacteria that survive in the world’s most lethal environments (salt lakes, deserts, and arctic ice). In fact, Ectoin was first discovered in Ectothiorhodospira halochloris, a bacterium thriving in the Egyptian desert's salt lakes under extreme UV and salinity.
Some intriguing biological benefits
1) Prevents fine dust (PM2.5) from penetrating our skin and triggering inflammation
2) Protects our mitochondria from blue light and infrared (device screens!)
3) Creates a structure to prevent moisture loss
4) Maintains osmotic balance, keeping our skin microbiome healthy under dress
