0.1% Retinal for nighttime routine only

Add 2 to 3 pumps onto the palm of one hand. Rub hands together to ensure serum is on both hands, then press into face and neck.

Take care to avoid the eye area. It's natural to feel a slight tingling sensation the first few sessions. Your skin will get used to it after a few days.

The serum is completely unscented.

Caution: Please do not mix with vitamin C or AHA/BHA within the same skincare routine.

2% Bakuchiol Serum can be used day & night

Apply 3 to 4 drops to the palm of one hand, press hands together and then press firmly to face and neck. Let the serum absorb for 10 to 15 seconds, then apply your next serum or cream.

The serum can be used for day and nighttime routines. It is safe for use during pregnancy and when breast feeding.

0.1% Retinal (retinaldehyde)

Retinal, also known as retinaldehyde, is a derivative of vitamin A and is widely recognized for its importance in skincare due to its potent anti-aging, acne-fighting, and skin-renewing properties. It is part of the retinoid family, which includes other compounds like retinol and retinoic acid. However, retinal is considered one of the most effective forms of vitamin A in skincare because of its ability to improve the skin with fewer side effects compared to other retinoids.

2% Bakuchiol

Bakuchiol is a plant-based ingredient increasingly gaining in popularity as a natural alternative to retinol. Extracted from the seeds and leaves of the Babchi plant (Psoralea corylifolia), bakuchiol offers similar benefits to retinoids but is gentler on the skin.  Similar to retinol, Bakuchiol helps increase the production of collagen, a protein responsible for keeping skin firm and elastic. This helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promoting a smoother complexion.

While bakuchiol isn't chemically related to retinol, it works similarly on the skin by influencing gene expression related to collagen production and cell turnover. It helps regulate skin cell renewal, making it a viable alternative to retinoids for those who can't tolerate the irritation or sensitivity retinol often causes.

Squalane

Squalane is a powerful emollient derived from Squalene that locks moisture into the skin by forming a protective barrier without leaving a greasy residue.  It’s lightweight, non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), and mimics the skin's natural oils, making it suitable for all skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin.  It also helps keep our skin soft, smooth and supple by preventing transepidermal water loss.  Our squalane is derived from sugar cane.

Retinal is the closest form to retinoic acid. It is 20X more powerful but less irritating. Bakuchiol is a plant based alterntive to retinol. Can be used both day and night.
