2% BAKUCHIOL

Bakuchiol is a plant-based ingredient increasingly gaining in popularity as a natural alternative to retinol. Extracted from the seeds and leaves of the Babchi plant (Psoralea corylifolia), bakuchiol offers similar benefits to retinoids but is gentler on the skin.  Similar to retinol, Bakuchiol helps increase the production of collagen, a protein responsible for keeping skin firm and elastic. This helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promoting a smoother complexion.

While bakuchiol isn't chemically related to retinol, it works similarly on the skin by influencing gene expression related to collagen production and cell turnover. Squalane is a powerful emollient derived from Squalene that locks moisture into the skin by forming a protective barrier without leaving a greasy residue.  It’s lightweight, non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), and mimics the skin's natural oils, making it suitable for all skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin.  It also helps keep our skin soft, smooth and supple by preventing transepidermal water loss.  Our squalane is derived from sugar cane.
